ITG works tirelessly fighting childhood chronic illness but that is only part of the story. In this amazing group of warriors we found a home and an extended family that shared it's heart with all of us. In June we were able to attend the Warrior camp which was an incredible life changing journey for our entire family. This beautiful organization put together this miracle at no cost to the families that attended through sheer determination, love and the generosity of donors. At camp each of us found something we didn't realize we so needed. Myself surrounded by parents that understood the pain,anger and sorrow of having a sick child, Destiny with a sibling group who understood what it felt like to often come in 2nd and having to be grown up sooner than they were ready. Faith, with kids who understood exactly what it feels like to be hampered by chronic illness that isn't always visible to other people and that "normal" people don't always understand. Again, it was a miracle for us.
