I am a 45 year old wife and mother, that was devestated and shocked when I started having symptoms a few years ago. What started out as tremors, anxiety and loss of focus turned into something life changing. I left a job that I loved for 18 years because I thought my symtoms were just caused by stress. At the age of 43 I was diagnosed with Young onset Parkinson’s. I sought not one, two but three opinions and finally accepted the sentence when I saw one of the best Neurologist movement disorder specialist In the country. I was shocked, was in denial and suffering from depression and anxiety thinking of my future knowing this disease has no cure. I am fortunate to have a extremely great support group, amazing family and friends. I am taking medication that is helping tremendously, As my disease progresses I will need to take more to keep up.
