As you reach the summits of this course, you'll take in a view of San Francisco Bay tucked behind the rolling green hills of the Marin Headlands to the east and looking west you will view the Pacific Ocean. One thing's certain...the views this course offers are unlike any other. You'll start and finish at the historic parade ground at Ft. Barry in Rodeo Valley. Along this scenic trail run through the Marin Headlands, you'll soak in panoramic vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Bay and the lush Pacific shoreline peppered with vibrant wildflowers. The course is a combination of single track hiking trails and fire roads. The event is limited to 400 participants and sells out every year so don't wait too long to register!

Course Map
COURSE CUT-OFF TIME: 6 HOURS (13:45min/mile pace for marathoners, 27:30min/mile pace for half marathoners, 56:15min/mile pace for 6.4 milers). Hikers/Walkers are welcome to participate.
Additional Details
ATHLETE CHECK-IN: If you received your bib in the mail, you do not need to check-in. If you need to pick up a bib or change your distance, you can do so at from 7:00-7:45AM at the start/finish area in the Parade Ground at Fort Barry. Safety pins and course maps will also be available during athlete check-in.
COURSE MARKINGS: The course will be marked with orange ribbon. The 6.4 Mile RIGHT turn will be at the Miwok Trail and marked with green ribbons. The half marathon and marathon will continue left onto the Old Springs Trail. The marathoners will do the half marathon loop twice (making sure to check in with us at the finish line before going out on your second loop).
AID STATIONS: There are no aid stations on the 6.4 mile course. Half marathoners will see aid stations at miles 5 and 10. Marathoners will see aid stations at miles 5, 10, 13, 18 & 23. We highly recommend that you carry water. There will also be food/drink at the finish area for all finishers.
INCENTIVES: T-Shirts for all participants. Rubber chicken to the first place overall male & female in each distance. Personalized award ribbons to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group for all distances which will be mailed out a few weeks after the race. Finisher medals for Full Marathoners only.
BIB NUMBERS: Bib numbers will be mailed out to participants beginning two weeks before the event. If you do NOT receive a bib prior to race day, you will pick one up on race day morning. If you did not supply a valid mailing address when you registered, or if your mailing address has changed, please e-mail us at info@envirosports.com.
PARKING: is near Ft. Barry as you head toward Rodeo Beach. When you arrive on race day, we will have parking attendants directing you to the parking areas. Please pay attention! Especially if, you have run this race before…you may go on auto-pilot and head to the old parking lot area which no longer exists. Be sure to allow yourself 10 minutes to get to check-in from the parking area.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Google Maps Link of Parking and Start/Finish locations. Take the first exit north of the Golden Gate Bridge (southbound Highway 101 drives take the last exit before the bridge). Conzelman Rd. will be the only road going uphill within sight of the freeway. Turn right onto Conzelman. Follow this road until it forks at McCullough Rd. Turn right onto McCullugh. At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Bunker Rd. Follow Bunker Rd. for approximately one mile to the large parking lot on the right.
CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you email us by March 1, you may receive a rollover credit (the amount you paid minus a $10 fee) to use toward any future Enviro-Sports race.
HEADPHONES POLICY: Since parts of this race include very narrow trails with steep drop-offs along the course, it is imperative that runners can hear each other in order to pass safely, even if they are running at a slow speed. For safety reasons (and for the enjoyment of your fellow runners) headphones (and any other audio devices) are NOT allowed.
