My Story…
I started running with the Akron Blue Line Beginners group 2 years ago, and since have run two half marathons, several 10ks, 8ks and 5ks. This year, I'm doing something differently - I'm going to use this fundraiser for Akron Children's Hospital determine what I'm going to run. I have (UPDATED) signed up this year to run the Akron Marathon Series - an 8k in June, the half marathon in August and the full marathon in September.
I think the world of Akron Children's, and am willing to put my body to the test if you, my friends and family, will pony up to help Children's with the amazing things they do for the kids in our community. Since I've made good progress toward my goal of $5,000, I have upgraded my running to a half marathon in August and the full marathon in September.
Yes, my wife thinks I'm crazy. But this isn't the craziest thing I've done to raise money for a great cause. So won't you help me in my quest? Thanks so much for your consideration and assistance!
