Foundation for Blind Children Stride For Sight 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk

Join us at our new location at OdySea in the Desert!
Stride for Sight 5K is a unique event for all ages and abilities,
with blind and sighted runners competing together.
The event will help fund the comprehensive programs
at the Foundation for Blind Children.
This event will feature a timed 5K and a relaxed 1-mile walk held in Scottsdale,
with a unique twist known as “The Blindfold Challenge” where you can compete
blindfolded with a team member of your choosing as a sighted guide.
Blindfold Challenge: For those looking for adventure, the Blindfold Challenge is an opportunity to compete in the 5k run blindfolded with a sighted guide. Running blindfolded takes competition to a whole new level and is sure to be a life changing experience! Create a 2-person team and compete blindfolded using one another as a sighted guide. Run the entire route blindfolded or run it as the sighted guide, or trade roles halfway through to get a taste of the challenges for each position. Each Teammate must register separately. Blindfolds and tethers will be provided.

Of course we want you to participate in the 5K event locally but we know things come up. So, if you can't join us on race day and still want to support our great cause and get the shirt then you still can! Here is your way to take part in this event no matter where you are! And of course, all prices include shipping! Please note that your shirt will be shipped following the event on April 14th.

- Custom Event Finisher's Medal for all participants (except Sleep in for Sight)
- Custom Event Dri-Fit Tech T-Shirt for all participants - Shirts are SOLD OUT - will be mailed out after event.
- Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups in the 5K distance only (Race Day Participants only). Our age groups are the following:
- Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (bagels, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)
- Event managed by StartLine Racing. Club SLR discounts do not apply.
We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.
No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
Race day registration will be available beginning at 7:00am at OdySea in the Desert.
We accept cash, check and credit cards on race day.
There will be no shirts available for those who register on race day. You will have the option of having one mailed to you.
Packet pick-up will be on Friday, April 12th from 4-7pm at Sole Sports in Scottsdale (map)
Sole Sports is located in the Seville Shopping Center at 7001 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85253
Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 7:00am at OdySea in the Desert (race location).
