My Story…
Not only is Sick Kids the hospital my sister started her nursing career at but since February 1996, Sick Kids has been a special place for me. They took care of my son Kyle when he needed them the most. At just three months old we were told he had a hole in his pulmonary artery and would need open heart surgery. On February 14th (yes, Valentine's Day :) ) I gave my just 3 month old baby to a nurse, not knowing if he would make it through the surgery. Hardest thing I've ever had to to. They took such great care of him and he came through the surgery just fine.
Thank you, Sick Kids. Forever grateful you were there when we needed you.
