Can you imagine being sick and having a myriad of symptoms your doctor cannot diagnose? Over 80% with Celiac Disease are undiagnosed. Established in 1979 by parents concerned for their children, our Chapter is 100% managed by volunteers. Your donations will allow us to provide evidence-based information and support to those who need to be gluten-free for health. Please join us as a Runner, Walker, Donor, or Volunteer today!
Fundraising for the Canadian Celiac Association - Vancouver Chapter
The Canadian Celiac Association – Vancouver Chapter is a local charity supporting anyone adversely affected by gluten-related disorders, including Celiac Disease, non celiac gluten sensitivity and Dermatitis Herpetiformis. The Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K is our biggest fundraising event of the year.
Funds raised from the charity challenge go directly towards supporting the following projects:
- Canadian research into Celiac Disease.
- Assisting the newly diagnosed or those struggling with a gluten-free lifestyle.
- Raising awareness for a disease that is widely underdiagnosed and dangerous to the individuals that have it.
Every donation is greatly appreciated…or you can join our team! All you need is a passion for helping people. That’s what unites us as a group, "Running Gluten-Free", and carries us over the finish line!
