My Story…
This is an incredibly special year for me and i'm ready to fundraise like I've never fundraised before! I have been given the great privilege of leading WAVAW and have stepped into the Executive Director position after 16 years here in different capacities.
Many of you, my community, know how near and dear to my heart our work at WAVAW is. The survivors we support and the systemic change we engage in daily is exactly what I believe my purpose on this journey in life is meant to be about. What we aspire to do here every day is offer life affirming services that provide survivors of sexual assault with a wrap around service delivery model that supports them through navigating systems and also supports folks to move away from suffering after violence.
Our ultimate goal and vision as an organization is to have a future free from sexual violence. This requires us to work daily towards shifting society, I take this responsibility very seriously.

With over 35 years of experience, we are British Columbia’s largest rape crisis centre, operating on unceded Coast Salish Territories. Survivors of sexualized violence are at the centre of everything we do. No matter where you are coming from, we are here for you. Run with WAVAW to ensure that survivors of sexualized violence can access the support they need, when they need it!
