My Story…
Hi there! I'm running this 5k with more than just my own accomplishment in mind...I'm also raising $$ for the great work the BCCDC Foundation does in our community. From offering pilot funding for research at the BC Centre for Disease Control, to helping provide infrastructure for improvements to the Lower Mainland Laboratories, the Foundation is working hard to find innovative ways to improve public health in BC.
Description
Public health is all of our responsibility. Whether it's staying home when you have the flu, staying up to date with your vaccinations, or taking care of the environment, we can all take part to improve our health and the health of our communities. Working as the charitable partner of the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) the BCCDC Foundation is driving innovation in how to keep everyone in BC as healthy as possible and make sure we don't get sick in the first place.
