My Story…
I’ve been a volunteer at BWSS for almost 2 years, and being part of this organization has been incredibly empowering and healing for me. The women at BWSS have inspired courage and strength in my life while I overcome my own experiences with violence and abuse. I’m grateful and proud to be part of the support and services that BWSS has provided to thousands of women and their children. For their 40th year, I want to help BWSS meet their goal of raising $40,000 through the Scotia Bank Charity Challenge. I’m hoping to not only meet their goal, but to also spread their message and continue raising awareness of safety for women. Every donation goes towards their continuous and countless efforts in developing programs and services for women.

For 40 years Battered Women’s Support Services (BWSS) has provided a safe place for women and girls to access services, get support, gain skills and feel empowered. None of which would be possible without your support! Join us in our 7th year participating in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge to help us reach our $40,000 goal for our 40th year and raise awareness of the matrix of support services provided at BWSS because Safety Changes Everything.
