My Story…

After my good friend's daughter was diagnosed with JA at age six, I learned just how devastating this disease can be. From painful home injections to steroids to hospital infusions and even joint replacements...it is definitely not 'just arthritis'. That's why I am so proud to be a part of the Cassie and Friends (www.cassieandfriends.ca) team and to run on behalf of all the kids who can't run. Cassie and Friends' mission is to transform kids' lives though dedicated research, support, education and advocacy. By making a donation to my run, you will help connect parents to other parents, support kids at school, give kids the chance to meet other kids just like them and drive forward research into safer and more effective treatments. You’re invited to join Cassie and Friends as we run and walk to raise funds for kids and families affected by Juvenile Arthritis (JA) and other rheumatic diseases in BC and across Canada.
 
Last year, we raised over $250,000 thanks to your dedication and hard work. For 2019, we have set the bar even higher!
 
We challenge you to help us raise $260,000 for life-changing research, child and parent support programs, education and advocacy.
 
All teammates who raise more than $50 will receive a Cassie and Friends' Running Shirt and be entered to win exciting prizes.
