Hello! My name is Ashley and I have been volunteering with the West-End Community Police Centre since July 2018. I love volunteering here, it feels great to make a little difference in my favourite community.
Description
Community Policing comes from a different mindset than conventional policing. It is rooted in a desire for localized crime prevention methods rather than in a dependence on traditional crime control methods. With the support of the Vancouver Police Department, we involve regular community members to help with solving real problems and to enrich the community. Be part of the solution! Show your support for us by donating or participating. Train with your fellow participants, receive a team shirt to wear on race day, and attend a thank you BBQ when you join the WECHCPC ‘Cops and Runners’ team!
