I occasionally volunteer at PIRS and find their programs very inclusive.
I am running with the objective to give back to the community. This is my appreciation to the Canadian society as an immigrant.

Canada continues to be home of diverse cultures. Vancouver is home to 913,300 immigrants, 40.0% of Vancouver's total population (Statistics Canada, July 25, 2018). At Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS), our mission is to empower immigrant and refugee women to fully participate in Canadian life through neighborhood-based programs. We served 1,263 participants in 2018 through 20 different programs. This year, we have been able to offer free Language classes to immigrant and refugee women. Our future wish is for all PIRS programs to be free of charge.
