My Story…

Still a relative newcomer at Broadmead Care, I am excited to do what I can to support it as I see on a daily basis the difference its people and programs make on the lives of our Veterans, elders and adults with disabilities via its various communities. The lovely gentleman pictured is Bob Sears; Bob served in the in the Canadian army, and was a long-time liaison member of Veterans Affairs Canada and a staunch advocate for veterans and their rights. It is people like Bob who inspire us all on a daily basis and for whom I’m running. Your support of Broadmead Care will contribute to its ability to make the lives of our residents more enjoyable, safe and comfortable, as it is an organization truly committed to bettering the lives of those it serves. Now, it’s been a few years since I’ve run a 10K (so I’m very happy the course is only 8K), and it may be more of a ramble than a run, but I’m game and looking forward to breaking in my new sneaks! Thank you for your generosity!
