Riding for Robert! We ride to raise funds for people the world over making their way out of poverty with the help of Opportunity International and we ride in memory of our good friend, Robert Struthers. Robert & Lise Struthers first introduced us to OI back in the late 90’s & on June 29th, after a Saturday bike ride, Robert, only 60, died from a heart attack. Robert will be remembered as one who contributed so much to raise people out of difficult circumstances. Robert & Lise’s passion for OI stems from their delight in seeing the difference that small loans have made in enabling real families to gain dignity & hope in starting small businesses thereby enabling them to feed, clothe and educate their children.
