My Story…
In 2008 I had a mass removed behind my left eye. It was benign but as a result I developed debilitating migraines that progressively worsened over the years leaving me in constant neurological pain. It's important to raise awareness of those living with complex migraine disease. It's so much more than a headache. My migraines cause nausea, vomiting, muscle tremors, pain in the extremities, contraction of the spine, immobility and vision loss. I lost my health, career and precious time with family and friends. With over 40 hospitalizations and severe complications from medication I started taking my life back in 2018. I drastically reduced the amount of pharmaceutical drugs I'd been given to treat symptoms, weaning myself off the drugs doing more harm than good, destroying my body. With the help of an excellent Neurologist and a lot of hard work I am recovering. I may not be cured but I have my life back and working to rebuild it after suffering the devastating effects of migraine.
