My Story…
As many of you know, Mackenzie & Lauren’s first 11 days were spent in the NICU AT Windsor Regional Hospital. We wanted to spend every minute we could by their sides to love them and encourage them to grow big and strong enough to come home with us! Living in Amherstburg, the drive back and forth would have been wasting precious time that could have been spent with our girls. We are BEYOND thankful that Ronald McDonald house Windsor was here for us. We were able to live one floor above our girls and be by their side everyday and night with all of the comforts of home a step away. Hot meals, snacks, drinks, comfy beds, hot showers, tv, a safe and secure room, flowers, couches and so much more was available to us 24/7. It was a sanctuary and a saviour for us. Moving into our special room at Ronald McDonald house was a relief to us and a huge weight taken off of our shoulders to just be able to focus on our girls. This is an amazing place and we are excited and honoured to donate back!
