Your generosity enables the Adaptive Sports Center to fulfill the mission of the Roger Pepper Adventure Camps.
The mission of the Roger Pepper Adventure Camps is to promote and provide outdoor recreation to teenagers with severe burns. The activities offered in these summer and winter camps, held in Crested Butte, Colorado, teach young burn survivors new life skills, build self-confidence, and empower them to be more comfortable with their physical and emotional scars.
Allison Massari established the Roger Pepper Adventure Camp in 1999 after surviving a terrible automobile accident. She formed the camp through the Adaptive Sports Center and named it after Roger Pepper, a selfless onlooker who pulled her from the fiery wreckage and saved her life.
