My Story…
The YWCA Encore team is near & dear to my heart. We all know someone who has had breast cancer. The support for the YWCA Encore team goes directly to the program allowing YWCA Hamilton to provide a FREE 8 week gentle exercise program for women on their Breast Cancer journey. This becomes much more than a "a program" - it becomes another 'family' of support for the women. The resiliency of the women (and Anne Marie) is always inspirational. Every $550 raised will support one woman to participate in this valuable the program that provides education, improved range of motion, reduces the risk of lymphedema and the benefits of social connection.
This walk has been a significant goal for me during my recovery from concussion on September 15. I won't be running, I won't be fast, but I will be there! Please consider supporting me & the YWCA Encore Team for this very valuable fundraising event. Thank you!
Description
Encore is a free gentle exercise program for women who have experienced breast cancer at any time in their lives. The program includes gentle land and water exercises as well as guest presenters on varying topics related to improving your health. The program is delivered in a supportive group environment and is a licensed program under YWCA Hamilton.
