For participating in Miles for Migraine - Chicago 2019

Our story…

I am once again participating in the Miles for Migraine 2-mile walk; 5k/10k run to raise money for Migraine research. As many of you know, several years ago I was diagnosed with a very rare, neurological disorder known as Hemiplegic Migraine. It is the equivalent of having mini strokes over and over again on an almost daily basis. In more severe Hemiplegic Migraine attacks, it is possible to experience fever, seizures and even coma. Last year, I was also diagnosed with Cluster headaches. Cluster headaches are an uncommon, severe form of primary neurovascular headache and one of the most painful forms of headaches. The pain is agonizing, searing, burning and stabbing usually on just one side of the head. The sad part is, there is no cure for either of these disorders. So, I am appealing to you today to donate whatever you can, no amount is too small. Thank you in advance for your support in raising money for Migraine Research.
