My Story…
Many of you know I am new to running but not new to helping the local food pantry. I set a goal this year to do my first 5K and a friend suggested The Shopping Cart Shuffle to me and I thought, okay, it’s a perfect fit! My registration is my donation and I’m hopeful to get a few of you on board to donate on my behalf to reach my goal :) I feel so fortunate to never go hungry but remember what it feels like to be a single mom with just enough food in the cabinets and nothing extra. It was scary at times and this is my way of making sure that I never forget that feeling. Thanks to all for considering donating to this effort!

Did you know that there are 65,500 hungry people in DuPage County? That half of those people are children? Please join our team or make a donation to help Run Hunger Out of Town:
• $5 will feed a family of 4 for a whole week
• $20 feeds a family for a month
• $50 provides more than 1,000 lbs of food for our neighbors in need
• $100 provides 2,600 meals for local families
• $250 feeds a family for an entire year
