Our story…
This April will be 12 years since I was first diagnosed with breast cancer! Once you have cancer you always have the fear of it coming back, you hit certain milestones and you think MAYBE you are in the clear. It's been 7 months since I have been diagnosed again 😪 I had my last round of chemo on April 2 and slowly getting back to my normal routine. This chemo was harder than when I was 25! I definitely didn't bounce as quickly...damn getting old. BUT, I did it and hope/pray I never have to do it again!!! I couldn't of gotten through everything without my family, friends, neighbors, the amazing oncology team at Bayhealth, and DBCC. Cancer doesn't care about age, race, gender...I hope my story saves at least 1 life! As I always say: be proactive with your healthcare, do your monthly exams and preventative screenings, and live sincerely! Please consider joining my team and supporting DBCC.
