Join us for our Thanksgiving-themed 5K in Lakewood Ranch. The stroller- and pet-friendly event follows a route from Health Parkway onto Town Center Parkway and back. Plenty of turkey-themed volunteers, water stop and music will shepherd the participants along. Chip timing by Fit2Time, then a great after party and awards ceremony. Proceeds benefit Tidewell Hospice services and programs in Manatee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte Counties. Kids Turkey Dashes begin at 7:15 a.m. and the 5K Run or Walk begins at 8 a.m., with runners going ahead of the walkers and those with dogs or strollers.

Packet Pick Up

Packet pick-up will take place at Fit2Run at the University Town Center Mall (near Dillard's) on two dates prior to the event.

Saturday, November 16th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday, November 21st from noon to 8 p.m.

Day of Race beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the event kid and pet friendly?
Yes, the event is family friendly, so strollers are welcome, as well as pets, as long as they have a non-retractable leash.

Is there a bag drop?
No, bag drop is not available.

Can I sign up at packet pick-up or at the event?\

Yes, day-of sign up is available.

My child is running the 5K, can they also do the Turkey Dashes?

Yes, any child registered for the 5K can participate in the Turkey Dashes for their age group.

Are there sponsorship opportunities available?

What does my registration fee support?
All funds raised at the Tidewell Turkey Trot support Tidewell Hospice in Manatee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties, as well as Tidewell support programs for the community. To learn more, visit www.tidewell.org.

Can I fundraise or donate, even if I don't run?

Yes, you can create a fundraising page, or donate to a participant or team, even if you are not running or walking.

Weather Cancellation Policy

We value runner safety. In the event of severe weather conditions, the director(s) reserve the right to cancel the race for the safety of its participants. Registrations cancelled due to inclement weather will not be refunded, but instead used to cover event costs, with the balance being treated as a charitable donation to the event beneficiary.

Conditions that may result in event cancellation include (but are not limited to): lightning, high winds, flooding, fires, and other acts of God.
