In 2014, my beautiful daughter Oakley came into this world at 29 weeks, and the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton became the home I never expected to need, but in the end it was exactly what I needed. To be close to my daughter in the NICU, and be able to focus just on her was the most beautiful gift I could ever have received, and never would have been possible without RMH. In March of last year that former NICU baby became big sissy to another incredible miracle Briar, born at 24 weeks. We were now a family of three and I worried how I would balance my two amazing girls' needs. For 253 days RMH was our home to be close to "our baby", our comfy bed, our garden to search for bugs, our place to play pretend, where we looked forward to movie and game and special dinner nights, where we laughed and cried with our friends and staff- who are now etched in the fabric of our journey, with so much love. We are proud to walk for the families who will need the love only RMH can provide.
