Gracie was born on July 14, 2016, 15 weeks before she was due. She came into the world at only 710grams and had to fight for her life everyday. We were told more then once that the outlook on Gracie's life did not look good but Gracie never gave up and because of the Ronald McDonald House we were able to be by her side during this fight of her life! The Ronald McDonald House not only kept us close to Gracie for the 211 days she was in the NICU (plus countless days over the past 2 years), but it kept us all together as a family. RMH gave us a safe place to recharge and regroup after some of our darkest days. RMH gave Kahlan a place to play and be a kid, away from the scary sounds of the NICU alarms. RMH gave us a warm meal, hot coffee, comfortable bed, hot shower, the list goes on... We are participating in this Footsteps for Families walk to raise money for our home away from home.
