My Story…

7/7/16 like for so many has forever changed my life. The officers and the families that suffered loss that day in Dallas still are coping with the senseless violence that led to the loss of our brothers in blue. Every year around the nation different law enforcement departments, the families of the fallen and the communities they serve experience the loss of loved ones to senseless violence and tragedy. I hope that you will help support the blue as they support the families that live with the loss on a daily basis.

Description

On July 7, 2016, five police officers were killed and eight police officers were injured in the line of duty in a deliberate attack on the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police, and El Centro College Police Department.

Run For The Blue was founded in response to this attack to support fallen and injured officers and their families.

Funds donated to Run For The Blue events are collected and distributed by the Blue Guardian Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Donations of services and products to the events are welcomed so that contributions to the affected officers and families can be maximized.

In observance of the anniversary of the ambush, Run For The Blue Dallas will be held on July 6, 2019. In addition to a 5K and 1 Mile run / walk, ceremonies honoring fallen and injured officers will be held.
