5K-9 Run for the Dogs

THE EVENT: The proceeds from this 3rd annual 5k Run / Walk directly support the K-9 units of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Duluth Police Department, Hermantown Police Department, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and Superior Police Department. Come participate in this event and meet for yourself some of our local K-9s.

THE COURSE: This fundraiser is a part trails, part road event with the start/finish at the Lester Park Pavilion. It is an out and back, starting with an enjoyable warmup on the Lester Park nordic trails before transitioning onto Seven Bridges Road. The course has some moderate hills, but in general is considered relatively level and all portions are stable running surfaces. The scenery is like no other event in the area, so come enjoy the fun and help our local K-9 units with your support!Pricing and Deadlines: $30 donation to benefit the K9s and includes a long sleeve race shirt (guaranteed if you register before 9/27/19). Only paid registrants will receive a free race shirt when you pick up your race packet. Paid registrants are also able to add an additional race shirt to their original order for $20.To guarantee a race shirt, make sure to sign up before 09/27/19. Any left over shirts after packet pickup, if we have any, will be for sale first come first serve as inventory is available. We will also have some of last year's red 2018 shirts available for purchase on race day.

Additional Important Info: Although this event is in support of dogs, please leave yours at home this time and come enjoy the K-9s. This is a great opportunity to engage the little ones. Strollers are welcomed in the Run/Walk. So strap in those kids and come on down. And for those kids that want to run, 12 and under can run for free.
