All volunteers for the Halloween Half Marathon will receive a race jacket!
Once you've signed up to volunteer we will email you with more specific instructions, but here are the basic descriptions:
Set up and registration - Arrive at the Verizon parking lot on Oak St. in downtown Morristown at 10:00 and help with registration and set up until 1:00pm.
Course Marshals - You will be stationed at various intersections along the course to point runners in the right direction. You will have to arrive by 12:00pm and will be able to leave by 3:00 at the latest. If you are stationed early in the course you could probably leave earlier. Once you've signed up we will email you the location of where you will be stationed.
Medals and post-race food - You will have to arrive at the Verizon parking lot on Oak St. in downtown Morristown by 1:00. You will unwrap the medals and hand them out to runners as they finish or hand out food to the runners at the finish area. You can leave around 3:30pm.
Water Stations - You will have to arrive at your station at 12:00. You'll be pouring water into cups and handing it out to runners. If you are at Station 1, 3, 4 or 5 you can leave by 2:00. Station 2 has runners pass by twice so you will have to stay until closer to 3:00. We will let you know the exact location of the stations when you've signed up.
Relay Area - You will have to arrive at the Firehouse at Ginty Field at 12:00 and you should be able to leave around 3:00. You'll be managing the relay exchange area. We will call you with more specific instructions once you've signed up.
