The Pumpkin Run has been a traditional part of the Pumpkin Festival for many years and takes participants along the beautiful Coastal Trail overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The morning will start with our first ever half marathon at 7:15*am followed by our traditional Kid's Fun Run at 8:00am, the 10K at 8:15am, and the 5K at 8:20am. All participants will have access to a light breakfast, an awesome long sleeve t-shirt, and a pumpkin.
All half marathon participants will receive an event medal. Half marathon has a cut off time of 3 1/2 hours.
There will be 1st and 2nd place prizes for each age division for male and female participants and grand prize for top male and female in each race.
Kids' Fun Run participants will receive a goodie bag and medal at the finish line.
The run starts and finishes approximately 3 blocks from the Pumpkin Festival which boasts over 300 artisans and amazing food and music.

No refunds or transfers after September 13, 2019. Event is on rain or shine.
Packet pick ups available at the following times and locations:
Saturday, October 12th from 10:00AM to 3:00PM at Sports Basement in Redwood City (202 Walnut Street, Redwood City). AND, if you pick up at the store on the 12th, you will get 20% off any purchase just by showing your bib at check out! We highly encourage early pick up to make your race day go easier!
Tuesday, October 15th from 4:00-8:00PM at New Leaf in Half Moon Bay. If you pick up at New Leaf on 10/15, you will receive a coupon for $5.00 off any purchase of $25.00 or more.
Packets can be picked up on race day but we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE early pick up to make your race day go more smoothly!
*Our half marathon start time will be pushed to 7:15AM to ensure a smooth sequence for subsequent races.

Event Location and Details
The start/finish line is located at the Hatch Elementary School parking lot. Packet pick up and day of registration will start at 6:15am.
- 6:15 AM - Packet pick up and day of registration opens (Please give yourself time to pick up your bib, t-shirt, and pumpkin before the race)
- 7:15 AM - Half Marathon Start*
- 8:00 AM - Kid's Fun Run
- 8:15 AM - 10 K Run Start
- 8:20 AM - 5K Run/Walk Start
*Half Marathon has a 3 1/2 hour cut off. This race was originally scheduled for 7:00AM but will be pushed to 7:15 to ensure smooth sequence of subsequent races.
Parking
There is no parking in the school lot however parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Additional paid parking is available at Shoreline Station at 225 S. Cabrillo Highway where you have very close access to the festival and an easy exit onto highway 1 at the end of the day.

Half Marathon Description and Map
Half marathon will have same start as 5K/10K but will proceed north past the 10K turn around to Mirada Road. At Mirada it will return south past Poplar, through Wavecrest and then turn around at the end of Redondo Beach Road. After the Redondo Beach Road turn around, the course will follow its same path back north, past Poplar and up to Kelly State Beach where it will re-join the 5K/10K courses up Kelly to Potter and then to Miramontes to return to Hatch Elementary. This course will pass aid stations six times (Poplar aid station 3x, 10K turn around station 2x and Redondo Beach Road 1x. THIS IS A MIXED TERRAIN RUN INCLUDING DIRT/TRAIL RUNNING IN WAVECREST PROPERTY.

Proceeds from the Pumpkin Run go directly to Senior Coastsiders, a Half Moon Bay non-profit that provides resources, support and opportunities for older adults and adults with disabilities living on the Coastside. Senior Coastsiders strives to affirm the value and dignity of Seniors and act as a community resource for information, caregiver support and innovative approaches to successful aging.
