My Story…
“Life is a gift” took on a whole new meaning for me in 2012 when I looked death in the eye, having suffered a SCAD heart attack at the young age of 36. My kids were toddlers and I feared I would not be able to watch them grow up. I have thrown my “healed” heart and soul into advocacy and fundraising. The efforts of so many continue to culminate in better care of patients across the country and around the world. Just this summer, we had a local Lehigh Valley Health Network cardiologist, Dr Ellina Feiner, distill the research trends to teach patients what SCAD means for them and their future. It is encouraging to see doctors equipped with the knowledge our very own fundraising efforts for research have made possible. Please continue to help us. It matters.
