Inaugural 2019 Reindeer River Run
This family centered event in downtown Bradenton will include a 5K Run/Walk, Kids' Candy Cane Dash and post race party with lots of holiday themed surprises! All participants will receive a tech material race shirt and finisher's medal. 5K Participants will be chip-timed and can compete for age bracketed top finisher awards. After the race delight in the festive sights of the Annual Manatee River Holiday Boat Parade.
Benefitting Foundation for Dreams and the Dream Oaks Camp
The Mission of the Foundation for Dreams is to celebrate the abilities and develop the strengths of children with special needs and chronic illnesses ages 7-17 by collaborating with families to provide individualized result-based goals, family support and recreation in a camp environment.

Sugarplum Dreams Virtual 5K Closed
Run virtually to support the Foundation of Dreams! Complete your 5K anytime, anywhere and you'll be sent an official race package with bib, shirt and medal. Runners who register by 12.8 will receive their race pack prior to race day. Please note virtual runner times are unofficial and not eligible for age group awards.

What will be waiting for you at the finish line of the Reindeer River Run 5K? Santa's North Pole Village! Brought to you by an amazing team of volunteers at Westminster Point Pleasant kids young and old can visit Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph and Frosty!
After the race, stick around for the awards! Age group awards will be given, 3 deep, plus trophies and prizes for the Overall Male and Female runners and Overall Masters Male and Female runners.

Foundation for Dreams offers a variety of unique programs specialized to meet each child’s needs and strengthen their abilities. Each activity is strategically adapted to target specific, individualized goals that produce a more comprehensive skill set and productive behaviors. Dream Oaks Camp, provides an exceptional camping experience for children with special needs and chronic illnesses ages 7-17.
Each camp session has a theme and activities that are designed and tailored to meet the needs of each child we serve by modifying strategies to include participation of all campers, despite their physical, emotional or developmental challenges. We plan these with the mindset that each child will participate, learn new skills and take on many new challenges by focusing on what the child can do, rather than their limitations.
Children that attend regularly often achieve significant developmental, functional and behavioral gains that can be developed and sustained across multiple settings. Campers truly develop a sense of belonging and recognize that Dream Oaks Camp is a special place they can call their own.
Weather Cancellation Policy
We value runner safety. In the event of severe weather conditions, the director(s) reserve the right to cancel the race for the safety of its participants. Registrations cancelled due to inclement weather will not be refunded, but instead used to cover event costs, with the balance being treated as a charitable donation to the event beneficiary.
Conditions that may result in event cancellation include (but are not limited to): lightning, high winds, flooding, fires, and other acts of God.
