I worked with Bill very closely and saw how inspiring his approach to leadership was. His mantra of "Do Stuff" cut through red tape and focused on delight and joy. Help us raise $$ to honour Bill's memory and "Do Stuff" at the Library that would bring a smile to his face. Also, cancer sucks and running with your friends helps.
Description
We are so proud to join fundraisers in the 2020 Calgary Marathon to support the Calgary Public Library's Bill Ptacek Fund for Innovation. Former Calgary Public Library CEO, Bill Ptacek was a visionary leader for the city who pushed libraries to evolve and respond to community needs. Bill always had the next big idea. Donated funds will be used to support projects that honour his adventurous spirit and would have made him smile.
