My Story…
I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 15. With the exceptional care of the Foothills Hospital Epilepsy Clinic I have been seizure free for over 10 years. I am fortunate as there are some who have multiple seizures every day. In Calgary everyone with epilepsy could fill the Saddledome. Epilepsy often goes unnoticed as the only time you are aware that someone has this condition is when they have a seizure. This often creates a stigma and lack of understanding. I joined the board over 5 years ago as an opportunity to give back. I have been challenged by Evan, Geoff and Jess to run the 1/2 marathon and raise as much as them. The last time I ran a km. was Gr. 12 track! They weren't even born. Yikes! Together we are all running to enhance the services EAC has provided to the community for 65 years
