My Story…
Through the Scotiabank Charity Challenge I am raising awareness and funds for the Epilepsy Association of Calgary. I am passionate about raising awareness about epilepsy. Unfortunately, even though epilepsy is one of the more common and older neurological conditions, it is still highly stigmatized and shrouded with myths. I work with individuals and families in my professional life who are affected by epilepsy and I see challenges they face. Personally, I have family members who live with epilepsy and I see how it affects their lives.
Description
For the past 64 years the Epilepsy Association of Calgary has provided Community Education and Support Programs for people whose lives are touched by epilepsy. It is through the kind support of people like you that we are able to carry out our mission: to support independence, quality of life and community participation for people with and affected by epilepsy.
