My Story…
It saddens me to say that I recently acquired a hairline fracture to the distal, 3rd metatarsal in my foot. Pre-injury the length was 10k, now I have lowered it to 5k. I have approximately a month with the air boot and then another few weeks to ease into running. By then I will be in Africa and training time will be limited, however, I have missed the last two years and I told Caelum that I would participate this year. Whether I run or I have to walk, it will be in support of the most incredible, strongest and sweetest young boy who has exponentially improved and expanded in his cognitive development and awareness,, continuing to surprise and impress me. All with great thanks to FACE: Families of Alberta for Conductive Education. A local, non-profit organizition which helps those with neuromotor delays through love, smiles...and of course, conductive education. Please help support them so that they can continue to make him smile and develop. Thank you greatly.
Description
We encourage our runners to come out and run alongside our children and families in the 5km or meet us after your long distance race. We offer swag for our greatest fundraisers and personal letters of thanks which will be handmade by our kids. We are also doing a special fundraising event prior for you to come out and learn more about CE and meet our families to know the great impact you can make choosing FACE as your charity of choice.
