The ALS Society of Alberta supports people and their families affected by ALS. ALS is a terminal illness that there are no treatments and no cure yet. Funding will go towards current programs which will allow us to expand existing programs and ensure we are able to provide support in each and every area of the province. Additional funding allows us to purchase equipment necessary for those living with the disease, conduct home visits and support groups, assist with transportation of our clients from their homes to the ALS clinics, and support children who have family members affected by the disease. By securing additional funding, we can ensure that we will be able to respond to every request for support in Alberta
