This year the Perley Rideau Vets Health Center really needs your help! While the course that Azzi and I run will be 'virtual', the needs of the Perley during the COVID pandemic are very real and they have not been immune to the growing impact of the virus, particularly on long term care centers as of late. Additional protective equipment, increased support staff, and incrementally rigorous cleaning routines are only some of the tangible efforts that have increased costs to the Perley. And for that reason, all funds raised in this year's Charity Challenge will funnel directly to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. Please join me and give generously - you WILL make a difference! I will be running a 10km race again this year (hoping to break 45mins!) and I'm so so proud to say that Azariah (my 8-year-old son) will be running a 2km race to support the cause! Description

The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre is one of Ontario’s largest and most innovative long-term care homes. Located on a 25-acre campus, it is a unique Seniors Village with 450 long-term care beds, 139 independent-living apartments, and a growing number of clinical, therapeutic and recreational services available on-site.
