For participating in Tamarack Ottawa Virtual Race Weekend 2020

My Story…

Keeping Karen's Memory alive through running with the support of Team in Training. Welcome to my Team in Training home page. I am training to participate in the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada's Team in Training. I will be running the Half Marathon(21.1KM) on May 23rd, 2020, in Ottawa, Ontario. I started running and fundraising with Team in Training in January 2017 to train for my first event with the Blue Nose Marathon. I did this as my sister, Karen was undergoing treatment for AML(Acute Myloid Leukemia) at the time. Unfortunately she passed away on March 1st, 2018. I have made it my mission, and a personal endevor to continue to run and fundraise for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I will train, you can donate. Any amount is apreciated!💜

Description

I am changing the world while achieving my personal best by joining The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training!  My fundraising will help explore new frontiers in blood cancer treatments while I discover new reserves of strength and performance in myself.

Did you know:

That an estimated 128,000 people are affected by blood cancers in Canada?
That someone is diagnosed every 23 minutes?
And that every 72 minutes someone will die?

I want to do my part to help change these statistics.

Unfortunately, too many of us have had cancer touch our lives and we all want to know how we can help loved ones who are battling cancer. We’re not all doctors or researchers, but we can all do our part to help.

I can train. You can donate.
