My Story…
Description
Our organization includes a state-of-the-art facility that receives nearly 10,000 animals each year; an on-site veterinary clinic that serves the animals in our care; a mobile spay/neuter clinic that provides subsidized services to low-income pet owners; an adoption centre; and an education centre, through which a variety of educational and outreach events and classes are implemented, such as dog obedience courses, child and youth camps, and specialized programs for children, youth, and adults. In addition to directly serving animals in our community, the OHS strives to build a humane and compassionate community through a number of community programs and services to improve compassion and animal welfare in Ottawa.
