My Story…
As an immigrant women myself who left to seek a better life, I would like to raise awareness and support to this organization who empowers immigrant and visible minority women in the City of Ottawa to participate in the elimination of all forms of abuse against women.
Description
Our vision is the elimination of all forms of abuse against women and children; and achieving social and economic equality for immigrant, and visible minority women. We work to empower immigrant and visible minority women in the City of Ottawa. We provide a culturally responsive crisis counselling service and a language interpretation service which will facilitate an abused woman’s access to community and mainstream services. We also provide settlement services and educational classes such as sewing, French and English classes, and computer classes.
