My Story…

A few months ago, I registered with my friend for the 5k, a goal he set following heart surgery at the Ottawa Heart Institute. He made great strides towards health and fitness through hard work and discipline, however, complications from Covid-19 means that I will instead be running the virtual version of the race in memory of him. A thank you University of Ottawa Heart Institute for your amazing work and successful rehab program. And to his family and friends, I will run every step of the 5k remembering his charming spirit, sharp mind, kind smile and musical soul.
