Let's support children's education during Covid 19 ... as parents in Vellore, Tamil Nadu have been in lockdown and unable to earn daily wages, they have no way to pay tuition for their children to go to school. In July 2020, CSLG received a request for scholarships for 69 students - more than 3 times the usual 20 to 30 students CSLG has provided scholarships to in the past few years. Our team goal is to walk/run a virtual marathon and with the support of our sponsors, raise $45,000 here in Ottawa. My goal is approx. 25% of that total...Please sponsor me! This virtual event is organized by Run Ottawa and the Scotiabank Charity Challenge which provides us all with the opportunity to support a charitable cause as well as a way to keep motivated while physically isolating! Description
Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people in rural
South India and in select disaster struck areas around the world. We are an entirely volunteer charity and 100% of the
donations are invested in the purchase of medicine, medical and educational equipment and the provision of
scholarships for K- 12 and for nursing students. Many children come from families who have never had the opportunity
to go to school. These first generation learners will help alleviate family poverty and create the foundation for social
