My Story…
My sister Laura, the Director of Lymphoma Canada, has spent endless hours connecting patients, families and professionals in hopes that no one living with Lymphoma faces it alone. Her dedication to this community and fundraising efforts have never gone unnoticed. With two parents who are cancer survivors, her actions and devotion to a cancer organization sits close to our hearts. I will be running the Mississauga Half Marathon on May 3rd on behalf of Lymphoma Canada, and I am hopeful that any donations will help bring their organization closer to finding a cure. It is the fifth most common cancer in Canada, and like all types of cancer, it is time to put it to an end. Thank you all for considering donating!
Description
Lymphoma is the fifth most common cancer affecting Canadians and has the fastest rising incidence rate among young adults. Currently over 100,000 Canadians are living with lymphoma and there is no known cause or prevention, only hope for a cure. Lymphoma Canada provides, at no cost and in both official languages: electronic and print materials on Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and CLL, peer and caregiver support groups, educational forums and advocacy on behalf of patients. Lymphoma Canada also funds Canadian research.
All funds raised will enable Lymphoma Canada to further its mission of supporting Canadians living with lymphoma.
