Our story…

The exact number of lives saved as a result of the work done by MADD Canada, its predecessor organizations and many other groups cannot be known with absolute certainty. But based on scientific formulas MADD Canada estimates the number of lives saved between 1982 and 2013 was 42,526. While such numbers provide an important perspective on the progress that has been made, it is important to remember that 45,394 Canadians were killed in alcohol and drug related crashes in this same period and impaired driving remains one of the leading criminal cause of death in this country. You play an important role in our efforts to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime. We couldn’t do it without you!

Description

EVERY DAY in Canada, on average, up to 4 Canadians are killed in motor vehicle crashes where alcohol and/or drugs were present.

Approximately, 65,000 Canadians are affected by impaired driving annually.

MADD Canada services over 20,000 victims and survivors per year.

Every step taken and donation made will help raise funds and awareness for MADD Canada’s programs and services that will serve to keep our children and communities safer. MADD Canada focuses efforts on five key areas, victim services, public education, youth education, public awareness and public policy.

You can make a difference in the lives of victims/survivors, their families and loved ones of impaired driving crashes. With your support we are able help to save lives by increasing the safety of our roads, waterways and communities.
