Help Leigh raise money

Growing up with epilepsy was a difficult part of my life. Outside of my epileptologist's office, there were few resources to help me live well with uncontrollable seizures. Thankfully, brain surgery has stopped my seizures for the past 26 years, but many people with intractable epilepsy do not have that option, as their seizures do not originate in one area of the brain. Empowering Epilepsy was started in Cleveland by people who understand epilepsy first hand. Our goal is to enable people with epilepsy and their families to take charge of their lives in Northeast Ohio! We provide fun, family friendly events to bring people together who understand epilepsy, and create positive, lasting memories. We also want to promote epilepsy awareness so the general public understands how to effectively help someone having a seizure. The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon is one way to show people living with epilepsy what they can do. We hope you can support or join our team!
