Help Dorothyanne raise money

For participating in Blue Nose Marathon

My Story…

The Halifax Public Library system is one of the very best things about life in Halifax. They are universally welcoming and helpful, and I couldn't live without them. In amongst all the wonderful things they do, they also fund food literacy-based programs through the Blue Nose Marathon - and I'm hoping to help them out, as a humble thanks for all I receive from them.

Description

In our community, no one should be hungry. When you think of a public library, historically a book-filled space where food was banned, do you imagine a partner in the fight against food insecurity? 1 in 5 people do not have access to affordable, healthy food. Halifax Public Libraries now offers free food literacy programs that build knowledge and skills in areas such as growing, cooking, nutrition and local choices. Runners will support more than 400 food literacy programs and healthy snacks in our community.
