Our story…
Wee Care has been maximizing abilities and providing education & support services to families for 47 years. Our programs are based on the rationale of early intervention and integration. Our classes give inclusive care for children with special needs and typical children, from 4 months to 6 years. Health and wellness is part of our everyday curriculum. We are unique for a downtown Halifax childcare centre, in that we have greenspace, and we want to make the most of it. Currently our (2) playgrounds are in desperate need of replacing. If given the opportunity, we would recreate the space to make it more inclusive. All the money raised through our Bluenose team will go directly towards our new playground fund.
Description
Wee Care Developmental Centre is a unique and exciting daycare where miracles happen! We are fundraising for a new playground and up-grades to our field spaces. People can help us by donating to our race fund. We also accept volunteer services; in-kind donations that go towards the tear down or build up of our existing playground will go a long way towards our goal of building a better playground.
