My Story…

I'm running and fundraising in support of Eating Disorders Nova Scotia, because their mission aligns closely with ours at Girls on Boards. As an eating disorder survivor myself, I am deeply grateful for the support and research in this field and want to continue to help create awareness, reduce stigma and change the social focus on outward appearance and shift to an internal wellness consciousness. Our mission at Girls on Boards is all about spreading the message to girls and women to love your body, trust your core and feel your power. We do this by engaging in empowering activities that help activate the feeling of personal power and body trust so we can take that into the rest of our lives. We call that embodiment empowerment, because when you FEEL it, you know it and the immersive experience helps the message impact us on a deeper level. Thanks for your support - together we go further.
