Registration & Packet Pick Up Questions

How do I register?

You may register either online, at early packet pick up the day before the race, or on race day at the registration booth.

What is the easiest way to register?

Registering online is the easiest way to sign up

Can I register at the early packet pick up location?

Yes

Can I pick up a packet for a friend of family member?

Yes

Are credit cards accepted at packet pick up?

Yes

Should participants pick up their packets early?

YES, please plan to pick up your packet early.

Am I guaranteed a race shirt?

All participants registered at least 1 Week in advance are guaranteed the race shirt size they requested during the registration process. Race Day and Packet Pick up sign ups are not guaranteed the shirt size of their choice, shirts will be given on a first come first serve basis. We will do our best to get everyone the shirt size they want.

What type of shirts are being given?

TBD

Will I be able to change my shirt size?

We will attempt to accommodate all shirt change requests that we can based on current shirt size availability.

How can I get a race shirt if I do not want to participate?

You may register as a participant to receive a race shirt. You do not have to compete if you do not wish to do so. You may pick up your shirt and bag at the early packet pick up.

What will we receive at packet pick up?

You will receive your race shirt, race number w/ timing tag, and race goody bag.

What type of timing is being used?

We will be using the Start2Finish state of the art MyLaps timing system. When you receive your race number, your timing tag will be affixed to your bib number. Please do not remove the timing tag from the back of your bib number.

Race Day Questions

Where is the race located?

The Doc Rock and Run Half Marathon will start and finish is at the First National Bank Arena on the Arkansas State University Campus

What time does the race start?

Half Marathon begin at 7:30am and the 5k will begin at 8:00 am.

Is there a time limit for the half marathon?

Yes, the half marathon course will close at 10:45am, which is 3 hours and 15 minutes after the start of the race.

The 3:15 if a very STRICT time limit.

Yes, We want everyone to finish the race, but we also have to keep in mind that we have a lot of streets closed and tying up a lot of resources. We will ask all participants on the course after 10:45 to get in a race provided sag wagon to be driven to the finish line.

Where is the race start?

The race will start at the First National Bank Arena at ASU.

What if it is raining/snowing on race morning?

The race will happen rain, snow or shine

Where are the water stops?

Water stops will be located approximately every mile. We encourage all runners to run with their own water as well.

When should I arrive?

Most runners plan to arrive at an event 1 hour prior to race start time. If you have not picked up your packet at a packet pick up, please arrive at least 1 hour in advance of race start.

How long will it take to find a place to park?

Around 5-10 minutes. Please arrive early, the only parking is behind the start line. If you arrive 5 minutes before scheduled race start, you will more than likely miss the race. Plan to arrive early.

Where do I park?

Anywhere around the First National Bank Arena that has open parking. The race will start outside the Blue Entrance. After Race Party will be inside the Blue Entrance. We encourage all race participants to enter the First National Bank Arena after the Race and enjoy the 2020 Health & Fitness Expo festivities.

Are baby joggers/baby strollers allowed in the race?

Yes, please start towards the end of the pack.

Are walkers allowed to participate?

Yes, please start towards the end of the pack

Are runners allowed to run with dogs

Dogs are NOT allowed at the Doc Rock and Run Half Marathon and 5k.

Can we participate as a relay team?

No, relay teams are not allowed.

When are the awards?

5k- 9:15am, Half Marathon- 10:30am

What are the award categories?

Please see the awards page on the website.

Will male and female categories be awarded prizes?

YES, both male and female categories will receive awards
