Spring it On 5k

UPDATE: The Spring It On 5K will be postponed until a later date. We are exploring options and logistics of rescheduling the race until sometime in September or October, and will be in touch with each sponsor and race registrant and plans unfold. As these plan evolve, details will be posted here and on the Run Kannapolis website and also on the Spring It On 5K event page on Facebook.


The 7th annual Spring it On 5k is a super exciting run in the City of Kannapolis, NC which starts and ends on the beautiful NC Research Campus. This is the second of 8 races in the 2020 Run Kannapolis race series. The 5k route will travel the streets of downtown Kannapolis. All participants who register by March 14th will be guaranteed a sweet Spring it On 5k t-shirt. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kannapolis Education Foundation. The Kannapolis Education Foundation is a foundation benefiting all students in Kannapolis City Schools by providing educational materials, books, technology and other academic programs to develop our students for the 21st century skills they will need. From the experienced runner to the novice jogger, the Spring it On 5k is the perfect event for anyone and everyone, not to mention a great cause.

Spring it On 5k is timed and the course is managed by Start2Finish Event Management.

Entry Fee Schedule

$20 through March 13th

$25 March 14th - March 27th

$25 Packet pickup/registration at Academy Sports in Kannapolis from 3pm to 6pm on March 27th

$30 on Race Day 6:45am to 7:45am

$10 for the 1mile Fun Run

Registration Policies

  1. There are NO refunds for this race.
  2. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions.
  3. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
